The MRSA is a trade union tasked with representing the staff of Mount Royal University. The MRSA does this by negotiating the renewal collective agreement, representing members, and building engagement and knowledge of the members – so that they are empowered to have a strong and healthy workplace.

Collective bargaining and Representation are legally protected rights for all union members. Engagement includes the variety of ways that the MRSA builds knowledge and connection among members.

Collective Bargaining
Collective Bargaining is the negotiations process which occurs periodically to renew the Collective Agreement.

Representation
Representation is enshrined as a right in the Collective Agreement, but is voluntary for members to use.

Engagement
The MRSA plans a variety of activities for members to participate in for education, engagement and fun.
The MRSA also works on broad advocacy, to improve your workplace.
The MRSA works with coalitions to build solidarity across labour and related organizations to promote equity, respect and strong public services.
